Circumstantial evidence suggest that the maiden name of Ziba's wife was Gillett. This has not been proven.
A marriage between this specific Olive Gillett (daughter of Nehemiah Gillett and Martha Storrs) and Ziba Cannon has not been proven. From transcripts of the Over the Mountain Cemetery in West Suffield, Olive's birth date was extrapolated and this is the only Olive Gillett I have found that has the same approximate date of birth. Clarence and Elsie went to Nova Scoita, Land of Evangeline, on their honeymoon and stayed at the Halifax Hotel. In 1907 H. Fremont Maddocks published a genealogical chart of the descendants of Joshua Maddocks and Susannah Austin. Llewellyn Maddocks is erroneously listed on this chart as married to "Edwing Hinckton." The chart also lists by name 4 of the 5 children of Llewellyn and Clarissa Maddocks: Mary Elizabeth, Walter, Ruby Alice [Aline], and Mattie. The omitted offspring, Solomon Prentiss, had died in 1902. The listing of the children indicates there was some communication between the family of Llewellyn Maddocks in Mississippi and their relatives in Maine. The source of the erroneous information concerning Llewellyn's spouse is unknown. | Family: F1224
