      Memorial Obituary

      Dr. Charles L. Cox, Sr., physician of 1292 Tutwiler, died at 11:05 a.m. yesterday at Methodist Hospital where he had been a patient since June 29. He was 70.
      Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. today at National Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert S. Hough officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill.
      A life long Memphian, Dr. Cox was a 1912 graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Medicine. He had practiced in Memphis since graduating from U-T. His office was at 1152 Poplar.
      He was a member of the Scottish Rite, Al Chymia Shrine Ttmple, the Memphis and Shelby County Medical Society and First Presbyterian Church. He lived at 1292 Tutwiler.
      He leaves his wife, Mrs. Frances Payne Cox; two daughters, Mrs Caroline Clark of Memphis and Mrs Frances Simonton of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., a son, Dr. Charles Cox, Jr. of Memphis, and eight grandchildren.
